Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Exercise Specialist to join our team at Health First. As a key member of our cardiac rehabilitation program, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from heart conditions and improve their overall health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exercise Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough exercise assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for patients undergoing cardiac rehabilitation.
  • Cardiac Rhythm Evaluation: Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and respond to any changes or abnormalities.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to promote optimal patient outcomes and provide high-quality care.
  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, treatment sessions, and progress.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on the importance of exercise and lifestyle changes in managing heart conditions.
  • Program Management: Ensure the smooth operation of our cardiac rehabilitation program, including scheduling and logistics.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science or related field.
  • Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience: Previous experience in cardiac rehabilitation or a related field.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of exercise equipment and procedures, ECGs, and telemetry; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Master of Science in Exercise Science or related field.
  • Certification: Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP) certification.
  • Experience: Previous experience in cardiac rehabilitation or a related field.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical Agility: Ability to walk, stand, run, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, or crouch frequently.
  • Lifting and Moving: Ability to lift or move objects up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
  • Environmental Factors: Ability to work in various environments with varying temperatures, air quality, lighting, and noise levels.
