Software Development Engineer, Sponsored Products, Scaled Controls

As a Software Development Engineer on this team, you'll play a critical role in defining and delivering a collection of self-service performance advertising products that drive discovery and sales. Our products are strategically important to our Retail and Marketplace businesses, driving long-term growth and delivering billions of ad impressions and millions of clicks daily.
We're looking for innovative and customer-obsessed professionals who can help us take our products to the next level. As a software engineer, you'll be responsible for designing highly scalable APIs and implementing controls to help our partners scale. You'll have a direct impact on our customers by putting our vast amount of data to work, deploying advanced analytics and machine learning algorithms to automate advertisers' marketing strategies and increase sales for advertisers.

What You'll Do:
• Own technical vision and direction: You identify problems and develop solutions, embracing performance metrics and measurement techniques to assess how well system-related services are running.
• Build and grow your team: You'll be a key contributor on an engineering team that delivers results, wearing many hats from software design and implementation to project management, operations, and working with business partners.
• Collaborate on product direction: You'll build and maintain strong relationships between engineering and partner disciplines to ensure that we're focused on delivering the right product for customers.
• Lead beyond your team: You'll be a key part of a small but growing community of engineering leaders who support their teams and contribute to the overall growth of our product development organization.
Requirements:
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 4+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
