Job Summary

As an Occupational Therapist with the Good Samaritan Society, you will play a vital role in helping our clients/patients/residents develop, maintain, and recover their ability to perform daily tasks. Your expertise will be essential in assessing clients/patients/residents and designing occupational therapy treatments that cater to their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to identify clients/patients/residents' physical, cognitive, developmental, and psychosocial abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy programs to address clients/patients/residents' functional, cognitive, or behavioral impairments.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
  • Provide education and training to clients/patients/residents and their families to enhance understanding and improve functional outcomes.
  • Document client/patient/resident information, establish therapeutic plans, and modify them as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
  • Licensed in the state(s) of practice as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Certified through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) when applicable.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
