Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, oversight, and management of all aspects of the department's day-to-day operations, working closely with departmental leadership to implement strategic and operational plans. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and results-driven individual to make a meaningful contribution to our team and help shape the future of our department.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of departmental operations, including budget management, human resources, and space management.
  • Collaborate with departmental leadership to develop and implement strategic plans, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and objectives.
  • Represent the Chair in various meetings and venues, providing administrative support and guidance as needed.
  • Develop and implement new or amended procedures, ensuring compliance with institutional guidelines and state and federal laws.
  • Oversee departmental human resource activities, including recruitment, interviewing, selection, visa management, salary analysis, and performance evaluations.
  • Direct the administration of the research enterprise within the department, including grant administration and proposal preparation.
  • Develop and implement programs and standards of performance to measure and evaluate safety, service, and quality improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
  • At least six years of directly related experience, with three years in a supervisory/management capacity.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with ability to prioritize and manage multiple, complex issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, patients, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
