PILOT BENEFITS

New hire pilots may qualify for the following incentives:
  • Competitive starting salary ranging from $83,640 to $92,004, based on experience
  • Geographic salary adjustments between 2% to 30%, depending on the assigned location
  • Sign-on bonus of $15,000 and a retention bonus of $40,000 after three years, applicable at all locations
  • Rotating schedule of 7 days on, 7 days off
  • Complimentary 24-hour housing provided at all bases
POSITION SUMMARY

The pilot is responsible for ensuring that all operations involving company aircraft adhere to Federal Aviation Regulations, the Air Evac EMS Operations Manual, and all relevant state and local regulations.
  • Operates the aircraft safely and efficiently, with a strong focus on compliance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual
  • Continuously monitors weather conditions and forecasts
  • Conducts thorough preflight inspections of the aircraft before each shift and prior to accepting any transport or flight requests. Any discrepancies identified during the preflight inspection must be documented in the engineering log and communicated to maintenance for corrective action
  • Arrives for duty well-rested and prepared, maintaining awareness of current weather and forecast changes
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

Minimum of 2000 hours total flight time, including:
- 1500 hours in helicopters
- 1000 hours as pilot in command of helicopters
- 500 hours in turbine aircraft
- 100 hours of night flying without aids, or 50 hours without aids plus 100 hours with aids
Previous experience in Helicopter Air Ambulance (HAA) operations is preferred.

Education and Certifications:

- Rotorcraft-Helicopter Commercial Certificate
- Rotorcraft-Helicopter Instrument Rating
- High school diploma or equivalent

Additional Requirements:

Must meet a weight limit of 230 pounds while dressed in flight suit and boots.
