Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy team at MNGI Digestive Health. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide direct care to patients undergoing endoscopy procedures, utilizing your expertise in assessment, delegation, and patient education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record patients' medical history and assessment
  • Start IV/saline lock
  • Perform INR and glucose testing
  • Prepare patients for and assist physician in endoscopy procedures
  • Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records in the electronic health record
  • Recovery of sedated patients and discharge assessments
  • Utilize proper infection control techniques
  • Monitor all aspects of patient care, anticipate patient and physician needs
  • Instruct individuals and families on topics such as health education and disease prevention
Additional Responsibilities
  • Infusion and injection administration
  • Esophageal Motility/PH testing
  • Assist with BRAVO Capsule placement
  • Capsule studies
  • Maintain supplies
  • Charge Nurse
  • Any and all other duties as assigned
Qualification Requirements

We require an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing, with one to two years of clinical experience, preferably in a GI-related setting. Experience using an Electronic Health Record is essential. A current Minnesota Nursing License and CPR certification are also required.

Working Environment

As a member of our Endoscopy team, you will work in a clinical environment, exposed to hazardous chemicals or conditions, including exposure to blood or other body fluids. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and training will be provided.
