We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Power Systems Modeling and Simulation Engineer to join our team at Integer Technologies LLC. As a key member of our research and development organization, you will play a critical role in developing and applying digital twins for Electrical Power and Energy Systems components and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide subject matter expertise in multi-domain/multiphysics physical virtual modeling for our projects related to electrical engineering and modeling and simulation.
- Write software and manipulate data streams from sensors to update physics-based or data-driven models.
- Apply and learn multiple algorithm and software development languages, libraries, and platforms as necessary to collaborate with our software development and modeling & simulation teams.
- Closely collaborate with other Company scientists and engineers on multi-disciplinary teams to prototype and test new technologies in our power & energy systems portfolio.
- Accurately forecast time and level of effort to achieve desired results and support project Principal Investigators to identify goals and roles within tasking.
- Contribute to monthly reports and quarterly performance reviews for customers, including text, presentation slides, and oral updates.
- Support business development and hardware engineering teams to develop a product development roadmap leading to sales of products and/or licensing of intellectual property.
- Travel as required to execute research and product development, with an estimated average of less than 10% travel.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar technical discipline.
- Demonstrated mastery of at least one computer modeling & simulation environment (MATLAB/Simulink preferred).
- Subject matter expertise in Electrical Power and Energy Systems, including electric machinery, gas turbines, diesel generators, propulsion systems, batteries, power electronics, switchgear, etc.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Graduate degree (Masters/PhD) in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar technical discipline.
- Deep technical knowledge of simulation solver technologies and numerical integration methods.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C++, Java).
- Subject matter expertise in one or more of the following technical areas: cooling and ventilation systems, fuel delivery systems for marine applications, machinery control systems.
- Base salary exceeding local & national industry averages.
