The human relations aspect of this position is crucial, requiring a deep understanding of staff, member, and volunteer roles and relationships. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, members, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the Aquatics and Safety Director, Health and Wellness Director, Membership and Marketing Director, and Youth and Family Director
  • Develop and implement effective operational strategies to drive membership growth and program development
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure seamless execution of programs and services
  • Manage budgets and financial resources to achieve organizational goals
  • Foster strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in human services, business, social services, or equivalent
  • YMCA Organizational Leader certification preferred
  • Five years of experience or more in board management, preferably in a non-profit organization with multiple departments or business structures

Desirable Qualities:

  • Experience in a non-profit environment
  • Knowledge of board management and building operations
  • Highly organized and motivated individual with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong personal ethic and integrity standards
