Job Description Summary

This position has design responsibility to deliver high-quality Xray generation customer workflow, feature functionality, product quality, reliability, serviceability, and manufacturability. Activities include requirements development, traceability, and flow down, architecture/system design and analysis, and developing/executing System Verification.

Job Responsibilities
  • Providing domain expertise to serve as the main integrator between hardware and software functions to deliver the best high-quality product.
  • Working across functions and team boundaries to define, design, and implement the next generation of products, defining the technology and product roadmaps, and ensuring program compliance with those roadmaps.
  • Conducting medical device (e.g. CT) image quality test and evaluation, imaging algorithms investigation.
  • Making design recommendations to improve reliability and resolve conflicting requirements.
  • Implementing reliability growth and/or qualification tests to validate predictions.
  • Performing trouble shooting encompassing multiple variables and unknowns to achieve root cause analysis and problem resolution. Conducting experiments and diagnostic tests, as required to draw conclusions.
  • Providing mentoring and coaching to develop technical talent.
  • Providing expert guidance and support to the development organization in various technical/functional aspects of research, development, and engineering.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a closely related discipline and 4 years of experience in a technical discipline.
  • Proven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging design problems.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to make recommendations to technical and program leadership to improve the product, process, or technology.
  • Effective communication skills - ability to present ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Proficient in the use of software tools for analysis and simulation (MATLAB, etc).
  • Demonstrated ability to pursue tasks to completion.
  • Broad exposure to HW/SW/Systems design, and technical depth in one or more engineering disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Software, etc).
