Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Aftersales Engineering team at PACCAR. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex mechanical systems for our heavy-duty trucks.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop mechanical systems for heavy-duty trucks, including hoods, fittings, chassis, suspension, engine, and after-treatment systems.
- Analyze and troubleshoot field failures to identify root causes and develop solutions to improve customer uptime and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement engineering solutions that meet customer needs and improve product quality.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including component drawings and diagrams.
- Contribute to the development of procedures and practices that ensure quality and reliable systems.
- BSME or equivalent engineering degree required.
- 5-7+ years of experience in the specification and design of complex automotive or commercial vehicle systems.
- Proficiency in using Requirements Management tools, Systems Engineering tools, Pro/E or other 3D CAD software.
- Competence in the use of personal computer software, including word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.
- Experience creating engineering documentation, including preparation of component drawings and diagrams.
- Experience responding to Requests for Engineering Information, writing Engineering Change Notices, test coordination, support for production, and customer service.
- A competitive salary range of $84,000-$131,700 annually.
