MRA Recruiting Services is seeking a skilled Buyer to join our Purchasing team. This role is vital in facilitating communication between sales and customer delivery teams, ensuring that inventory levels meet customer demands. The Buyer will play a crucial role in sourcing products and negotiating purchasing agreements, contributing to our collaborative and dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory levels to fulfill customer requirements effectively.
- Engage with vendors and suppliers to gather product details, pricing, lead times, and availability.
- Process returned inventory and ensure timely communication with vendors.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report on stock levels regularly.
- Prepare product quotations for internal teams.
- Update vendor pricing in the ERP system.
- Collaborate with vendors to manage credits and product replacements.
- Develop strong vendor relationships to enhance communication and efficiency.
- Expedite outstanding purchase orders and track vendor credits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of three years of purchasing experience or equivalent experience.
- Experience in product/category management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Epicor/P21.
- Background in the packaging industry is advantageous.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and spreadsheet applications.
- Experience with accounting and purchasing software is a plus.
- Strong numerical skills and ability to calculate discounts and percentages.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and colleagues.
