Key Responsibilities:- Lead processes related to arrival, classification, building, inspecting, and dispatching of trains.
- Develop, organize, and execute the daily yard-terminal/road operating plan in a safe and cost-effective manner.
- Provide leadership accountability for inputs and outputs of safety, service, productivity, and financial metrics.
- Lead by example to build a strong safety culture and provide coaching on operational best practices.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Previous railway experience as a conductor or engineer is required; candidates with supervisory experience are preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Demonstrated operational knowledge related to operational plans, local service operating plan, and yard management practices.
- Ability to obtain and maintain rules-qualified (ex GCOR) qualifications as a conductor or engineer.
- Willingness to operate trains to support operations as needed.
- Strong understanding of collective agreements and regulatory requirements.
