Role Overview:
Soliant Education is in search of a dedicated and empathetic Educational Psychologist to join our team in Wellington, Massachusetts. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaboration: Partner with teachers, administrators, parents, and other specialists to create and sustain a safe and encouraging educational setting. Offer guidance and consultation to school teams and administrators regarding student requirements and intervention strategies.
- Assessment and Reporting: Conduct thorough psychological assessments to ascertain students' eligibility for special education services. This encompasses Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), Classroom Needs Assessments, and various specialized evaluations. Prepare comprehensive psychological assessment reports.
- Crisis Management: Assess students to evaluate risks to themselves or others. Provide recommendations and consultations to school teams and administrators on managing and addressing these situations.
- Screening and Data Oversight: Administer universal screening tools and oversee data to inform individual, classroom, and school-wide program planning. Track student progress and utilize data to guide instructional practices and interventions.
- Regulatory Expertise: Leverage knowledge of special education laws and regulations that govern the identification of students with disabilities, including English Language Learner (ELL) students. Ensure adherence to relevant laws and guidelines.
- Program Development: Assist in the creation and execution of programs tailored to meet individual and group needs within the school. Use assessment data to inform program planning and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Education: A Master's Degree in School Psychology or a related discipline is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Educational Psychologist is preferred. Demonstrated experience in conducting psychological assessments, crisis management, and data oversight.
- Licensure: Must possess a valid school psychologist license for Massachusetts.
- Skills: Exceptional collaboration and communication abilities, expertise in psychological assessment and intervention, and a comprehensive understanding of special education laws and regulations. Proficiency in managing and analyzing data to support educational planning and student success.
