Job Summary

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing speech therapy services to patients, including evaluation and treatment of speech and language disorders, swallowing disorders, and video fluoroscopy swallowing studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' swallowing, speech, and language functions to identify areas of improvement.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive care plans to restore function and enhance quality of life.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions to patients, including speech and language therapy, swallowing therapy, and cognitive therapy.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology or related field.
  • Current certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in speech therapy, preferably in a healthcare setting.
