Salary

The estimated salary for this position ranges from $165,000 to $267,500 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and work location. The compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus.

  • As a Manager of Software Engineering DLP at Palo Alto Networks, you will work in a fast-paced team to create and deliver new product and mission features to the network and security platform used daily by customers.
  • You will actively engage and contribute to the network security community through collaborations.
  • You will be part of the team driving industry technology evolution and creating a positive impact on business.
  • You will participate in strategy planning to build next-generation data security products.
  • You will manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You will actively participate in code and architecture reviews.
  • You will mentor and manage the professional development of team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A passion for leadership and innovation.
  • Experience leading a team from either a technical or managerial perspective.
  • Demonstrable project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Design teams, emphasizing end-to-end delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent military experience required.
  • 8+ years of development experience in Public Cloud, Data Engineering, and Analytics.
  • 4+ years of direct people leadership experience.
  • 8+ years experience in design, algorithms, and data structures - Expertise with one or more of the following languages is a must - Java, Python, Golang.
  • Proven leadership skills with an ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Agile (e.g., Scrum Process), Big Data technologies like Hive, Kafka, Hadoop, SQL, developing APIs, Cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, and Azure.
