As a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant Certified, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our occupational therapy department.

Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapy Assistant Certified will work under the supervision of an occupational therapist to implement medically prescribed occupational therapy. This will involve conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and providing interventions to patients to help them achieve their goals and improve their functional abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Conducts medically prescribed occupational therapy under the supervision of an occupational therapist

• Implements an established treatment plan using appropriate modalities and documents findings of patient progress

• Continually evaluates patient progress and makes necessary revisions within the established plan of care to meet the patient's needs and treatment team goals

• Communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to occupational therapist

• Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits and provides discharge planning assistance and information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs

• Maintains accurate and timely records of all treatment procedures, including progress notes, discharge summaries, and daily documentation as approved by certified/licensed occupational therapist

• Consults with and supports treatment plans of physician, patient, family, and other allied health professionals

• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field

• No experience required

Work Environment:

This position will primarily work in the acute and inpatient rehab departments, covering weekend day-shift positions. The Occupational Therapy Assistant Certified will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
