Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technician to join our team in the Operating Room. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the proper handling of instruments and equipment.
- Prepare and maintain operating room equipment, supplies, and instruments, ensuring they are in good working condition and easily accessible.
- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including preparing patients for surgery and assisting with recovery.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective surgical procedures, maintaining open communication and a focus on patient safety.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including instrument counts and surgical procedure documentation.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or a related field preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technician in a hospital setting, with a strong understanding of aseptic technique and sterile procedures.
- Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.
