Lead Teacher for PreK for All Program

St. Clare of Assisi School, a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of New York, is seeking a qualified PKFA Lead Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children, facilitating learning experiences based on The Creative Curriculum, and working closely with school administration and colleagues to provide high-quality early childhood instruction.
Responsibilities:- Provide students with a safe and supportive learning environment to promote social, intellectual, physical, and emotional development.
- Develop and implement lesson plans in line with program goals and policies, differentiating instruction to meet the needs of each child.
- Assess and document the progress of each child, using data to inform instruction and improve student outcomes.
- Implement positive behavior management strategies and work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with families to support the extension of learning at home and respond to parent concerns in a professional and respectful manner.
- BA in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Experience working with children under the age of 6.
- One of the following New York State teaching certificates: Early Childhood (Birth - Grade 2), Nursery, Kindergarten and Grades 1-6 (N-6), Prekindergarten - Grade 6 (P-6), or Students with Disabilities (Birth - Grade 2).
- Comprehensive benefits package.
- Salary range $48,000-73,000 depending on credentials and experience.
