Overview

A.O. Fox is seeking a skilled and dedicated Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Diagnostic Imaging department.

Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality CT exams, ensuring prompt and efficient services to patients.
  • Assess patient data and interpret information to identify individual patient requirements and provide appropriate care.
  • Operate diagnostic x-ray equipment as needed, providing high-quality test results in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Comply with job descriptions and protocols, ensuring adherence to quality control standards.
  • Ensure patient information is accurate and up-to-date, properly positioning patients and making them comfortable during exams.
  • Review images and send them to PACS for interpretation, closing exams in EPIC/PACS.
  • Administer medication as prescribed by licensed practitioners, transport patients as needed, and maintain a safe environment.
  • Explain procedures to patients, answer questions, and ensure proper screening and clinical pause before starting each exam.
  • Maintain a clean and organized CT Scan room, restock supplies, and review daily checklists for safe patient care and regulatory readiness.
  • Enhance professional growth through educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
  • Maintain competence through continuing education and licensure requirements.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a formal radiology technology training program in an AMA-approved school.
  • New graduates accepted.
  • NYS license (NYS Temporary Permit for new graduates), required.
  • ARRT Registered as a Radiologic Technologist within 180 days from date of hire, required.
  • NYS Registered as a Radiologic Technologist within 180 days from date of hire, required.
  • ARRT CT certification within 2 years of hire/within job role (career ladder promotion), preferred.
  • BLS certification, required.
