Position Summary

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Operations Manager in the Peoria, IL area. The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of contract sites, ensuring adherence to customer service standards, personnel management, and security & safety protocols in alignment with Sunstates' objectives.

*Local candidates are preferred as this role requires regular visits to client sites in the Peoria and East Peoria, IL area.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership capabilities and cultivate strong relationships with clients.

This role offers a comprehensive compensation package of up to $73,000, based on experience, which includes:

  • Weekly paid annual salary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train, develop, and motivate supervisory staff to effectively manage day-to-day operations of site security personnel.
  • Supervise other management personnel, including Site Managers and Site Supervisors.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, including interviewing, candidate selection, training, and documentation.
  • Provide training to subordinate supervisors on software systems, procedural guidelines, and company policies, ensuring consistency in policy implementation.
  • Coordinate operational functions such as payroll, billing, accounts receivable, staffing, scheduling, and personnel matters.
  • Conduct site visits and audits in accordance with the Quality Assurance program.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Manager and Senior Vice President of Operations to set regional goals and communicate these to branch staff.
  • Work alongside sales and marketing teams to identify and cultivate new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant management and leadership experience in the security sector, law enforcement, or military.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with effective portfolio management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel and regularly visit all site locations within the Illinois regional branch.
  • Flexibility to be on call as needed during various shifts.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by management in coordination with the Regional Manager.
