Carpenter/Murfreesboro

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at HireQuest Direct in Murfreesboro, TN. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for installing foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using various materials. You will also fit and install window frames, doors, and door hardware, as well as erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels.

• Install and assemble structural components, such as walls, floors, and roofs, using materials like wood, steel, and concrete.
• Fabricate and install cabinets, doors, and other wooden fixtures used in buildings.
• Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
• Inspect and repair damaged or defective parts of structures, using hand tools.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to established safety rules and regulations.

• Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers.
• Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
• Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety.
• Experience in commercial or residential carpentry.
• Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans, and other specifications.
• Strong working knowledge of job site safety.
