Proteomics Researcher

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is seeking a highly skilled Omics Scientist to join our Integrative Omics group. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in advancing cutting-edge proteomics capabilities, particularly in the areas of post-translational modifications (PTMs), including phosphorylation, acetylation, and redox modifications.
Responsibilities:- Develop and apply cutting-edge mass spectrometry (MS)-based multi-omics technologies and methods for quantifying proteins/peptides, various PTMs, metabolites, and lipids in studies of health and disease, the environment, and general systems biology.
- Conduct experiments on cells, tissues, or model organisms to help identify causes and solutions to threatening diseases.
- Analyze samples for chemical constituents to investigate and diagnose patient illnesses and identify therapeutic interventions or mitigation strategies.
- PhD in biochemistry, analytical chemistry, bioengineering, molecular biology, or closely related fields.
- Extensive experience in development and applications of mass spectrometry-based protein and PTM quantification, and large-scale data analysis in biological or environmental research areas.
- A sustained track record of disseminating research through peer-reviewed publications, presentations, etc.
This position does not involve hazardous working conditions or environments.
