Aggregates Management Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Management Trainee to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. in Thornton, IL.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or current employee looking to develop their skills and knowledge in aggregates management.

• Participate in a comprehensive training program to develop skills in mine planning, operations optimization, quality control, sales, maintenance, and safety.
• Work closely with experienced managers to gain hands-on experience and develop operational supervisory skills.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Assist with special projects and assignments to gain a deeper understanding of the aggregates industry.
• Develop strong communication and leadership skills to effectively motivate teams and manage multiple projects.

• Recent graduate or current employee with a degree in mining, civil, mechanical, electrical engineering, or business management.
• Strong commitment to work ethic and utilization of abilities for the best of the company.
• Ability to adapt to change, flexibility, and openness to new ideas.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong organizational, efficient, and process improvement mindset and skillset.
• Ability to work in a heavy industrial environment and willingness to help solve problems in the field.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills and ability to multitask.
