Produce Manager Job Description

At KJ's Market, we're seeking a highly skilled Produce Manager to join our team. As a key member of our produce department, you'll be responsible for driving sales growth, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize produce sales volume and achieve budgeted gross profit figures.
  • Oversee the preparation of produce records, including inventory management and ordering.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Supervise and train produce staff to ensure they meet productivity goals and adhere to company standards.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to review department performance and implement improvements.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in produce management or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. constantly.
  • Knowledge of produce operations and inventory management.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
