Halff is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer Intern to join our Public Works team in Fort Worth, TX. As a Civil Engineer Intern, you will assist in the design and development of public works projects, including drafting CAD work, performing calculations and analysis, and preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates.

Responsibilities:

  • Design civil engineering projects under the supervision of a Professional Engineer
  • Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for public works projects
  • Perform drafting CAD work
  • Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
  • Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
  • Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors
  • Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or an ABET-accredited equivalent engineering degree
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Self-motivated and strong organizational skills
