Job Summary:
We're seeking a skilled and safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Knife River Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of construction materials to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily equipment inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions
- Maintain all daily paperwork and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Operate heavy equipment safely and effectively, with a focus on minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, and maintain a positive attitude in high-pressure situations
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Current commercial driver's license (Class A) with proper endorsements and medical card
- Good driving record and experience with construction operations
- Exceptional attention to safety and ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to maintain positive relationships with colleagues and customers
