Qualifications:
  • Must be a born-again Christian and a reliable Christian role model, demonstrating a lifestyle that aligns with God’s teachings and the Holy Scriptures. Active participation in an evangelical Trinitarian church is required.
  • Must accept and support the school's statement of faith and show a continued sense of God’s guidance in working at Lighthouse Christian School.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Exhibit a positive and patient demeanor.
  • Strong and clear communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a supportive and encouraging attitude.
  • Ability to fulfill job requirements, including standing for extended periods.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with school-aged children is preferred but not mandatory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee students during designated recess periods.
  • Ability to assess situations and implement a calm and effective response.
  • Encourage positive and constructive interactions during recess, including conflict resolution.
  • Capable of administering first aid when necessary.
  • Maintain and organize recess equipment.
  • Report disciplinary issues to administration promptly and clearly.
  • Engage in meetings, devotions, professional learning communities, and in-service training as required.
  • Ensure consistent and punctual attendance.

Work Requirements:
  • This is a part-time, non-exempt position aligned with the school year calendar.
  • Hourly wage is detailed in the annual at-will employment letter.

Approximate Hours:
11:15 AM - 1:15 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional additional hours for meetings.
Salary Range: $16.75 - $17.00 per hour
