School Sign Language Interpreter Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to provide essential communication support to a secondary student in a school setting. This role involves facilitating effective communication between the student and educators using American Sign Language (ASL).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret classroom instruction and discussions to ensure the student fully comprehends the material.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
  • Attend meetings as required to discuss student progress and needs.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
