Welcome to the Document Archivist position at The Ohio State University, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the Space Information and Management System (SIMS). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing and verifying files for accuracy, processing project data, and creating/updating/editing metadata records in SIMS.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will primarily work with architectural and engineering drawing files in AutoCAD, Revit, and PDF. You will create, maintain, update, and edit archive data associated with each building and project. Additionally, you will review electronic submittals via Trimble Unity Construct (eBuilder) of record drawings of completed construction projects.

You will ensure that AutoCAD and Revit drawings meet OSU standards before acceptance. To excel in this role, you will need a strong understanding of document management systems, scanning technology, and software used for archiving and retrieval. Experience with Trimble Unity Construct (eBuilder) and Space Information Systems is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and verify files for accuracy, process project data, and create/update/edit metadata records in SIMS
  • Work with architectural and engineering drawing files in AutoCAD, Revit, and PDF
  • Create, maintain, update, and edit archive data associated with each building and project
  • Review electronic submittals via Trimble Unity Construct (eBuilder) of record drawings of completed construction projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Health Sciences, Computer Science, or relevant field
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience with document management systems, scanning technology, and software used for archiving and retrieval
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural drawings
  • Basic understanding of Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit Software
  • Experience with Trimble Unity Construct (eBuilder)
Working Conditions

This is a term position with an estimated length of one year, extendable up to two additional years if necessary. The hiring range is $22.69-$30.00 per hour, with the actual salary paid to an individual varying based on multiple factors.
