Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Long-Term Acute Care to join our team. This role involves providing comprehensive care to patients requiring extended medical attention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to a manageable patient load of 5-6 individuals.
- Adapt to a dynamic work environment, handling multiple admissions and discharges efficiently.
- Administer medications via various routes, including oral, subcutaneous, and intravenous.
- Educate patients and their families on managing health conditions and surgical processes.
- Monitor and operate specialized medical equipment, interpreting electronic displays accurately.
- Analyze telemetry readings and promptly communicate any irregularities to the medical team.
- Perform all essential duties expected of a registered nurse, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Qualifications:
- Active RN License.
- Degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of 18 months recent experience in a Long-Term Acute Care setting.
- Proficiency in managing patients with complex medical conditions, including pulmonary hypertension, respiratory failure, and cardiac issues.
