We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a Per Diem Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Evaluation and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
- Collaboration with Interdisciplinary Team: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and concise patient records and reports, in accordance with hospital and departmental policies.
- Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Experience: No experience required, but one to two years of experience in an academic or large medical center-based practice is preferred.
- Licensure: Current unencumbered license or temporary permit to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Connecticut.
- Certifications: Membership in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Outpatient Pediatric Experience: Experience working with pediatric patients in an outpatient setting is preferred.
- Medically Complex Caseload: Experience working with patients with medically complex conditions is preferred.
- Language and Articulation Disorders: Experience working with patients with language and articulation disorders is preferred.
