Job Description

As a Project Manager Assistant at Chico Electric, you will play a critical role in supporting project teams with all aspects of projects from sale to close out. This includes Residential, commercial and ATI service and small construction work.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate tasks with Project Managers as needed
  • Manage jobs in Jonas, Basecamp, and project folders
  • Gather customer data and schedule dispatch for work orders
  • Communicate start times with customers and coordinate PG&E shutdowns as required
  • Invoice for projects per contract milestones and manage project scope
  • Communicate with the Engineering team, Sales, and Management as necessary

Requirements:

  1. Valid Driver's License for the state where you will drive, meeting company auto insurance qualifications
  2. High School Diploma or GED
  3. 5+ years of experience in energy technology or a related field; sales; construction project management; customer service. A construction/electrical background is preferred but not required
  4. Strong management skills; initiative; leadership; experience in renewable energy including solar power; ability to read and understand electrical plans; strong written, oral, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills; basic computer skills

Working Conditions:

  • Mainly working indoors with minimal outdoors work in various weather conditions – heat, cold, wet, changes in temperature and humidity

  • Physical tasks: sitting at a desk and using a computer; bending, reaching, moving around the office for meetings, including stairs; communication with others; office machine usage; visiting job sites which includes walking on uneven terrain, climbing ladders, working at heights, walking on roofs and other structures; driving company vehicles
