Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - OBGYN Generalist

Albany Medical Center is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our OBGYN Generalist team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our patients' care plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and collection of clinical data.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patients' medical histories, current conditions, and treatment goals.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform minor surgeries as needed.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting healthy behaviors and disease prevention.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient care.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of New York.
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Working Conditions:

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The successful candidate will be able to maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy, while providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with the healthcare team.
