Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Take primary charge of client engagements, including planning, staffing, timing, technical matters, and other critical decisions. Ensure the successful completion of engagements, identifying and addressing issues with minimal oversight.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of engagements.
  • Guide and mentor Supervisors, Senior Accountants, and Staff, focusing on technical education, professional development opportunities, and fostering a respectful team environment.
  • Perform annual performance evaluations for assigned staff and manage performance discussions.
  • Assist Principals and Partners in identifying and pursuing new client opportunities.
  • Leverage technical expertise to create high-value opportunities for Firm clients.
  • Enhance the Firm's reputation by participating in conferences, contributing to publications, attending recruiting events, and conducting training sessions.
  • Understand the importance of enhancing the Novogradac brand by building collegial relationships with Partners, employees, clients, and prospects.
  • Develop and strengthen client relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Advance skills in the Firm's focus industries by seeking and completing relevant training.
  • Boost office profitability by managing time effectively for yourself and your team, contributing innovative ideas, and adding value.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of accounting and tax regulations.

Educational Background

A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (advanced degree preferred) along with 5-8 years of experience in public accounting or a suitable combination of education and experience. A CPA license is mandatory.
