El Paso Community College is seeking a qualified Medical Assisting Instructor to provide instruction in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching medical assisting courses and contributing to the development of the program.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver high-quality instruction in medical assisting courses
- Assess student learning and provide feedback
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students and the medical assisting profession
- Participate in faculty orientation and professional development activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Associate's degree in Medical Assisting or Nursing
- Three years of work-related experience, exclusive of teaching
- Experience teaching in the discipline, incorporating technology into the classroom, and teaching at the community college level
- Must have one or more of the following: CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RN (Registered Nurse), LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse), or MD (Medical Doctor)
- This is a part-time faculty position, contingent upon the needs of the District
- Faculty are hired on a semester-by-semester basis
