Emergency Department Nurse

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Medical City Dallas. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize incoming patients, providing timely and effective care to those in need.
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and stabilize patients, working closely with our medical team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and attention.
- Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to provide patient education and follow-up care instructions, ensuring that our patients are well-informed and empowered to manage their health.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (ASN) from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners, with a compact license accepted.
- Current BLS- Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care setting, with one year of ED experience required.
- CEN and/or CPEN certification preferred.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course certification must be obtained within one year of employment start date.
- TNCC/ENPC certification required within 18 months.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or Satori Alternatives Management certification must be obtained within one year of employment start date.
