Job Summary

Zachry Group is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and installations of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, including filter replacements, V-Belt replacements, and cleaning of condenser coils and air handling equipment.
  • Repair or replace defective systems to ensure optimal energy efficiency and comfort for building occupants.
  • Seasonally start up and shut down central plant A/C equipment, including chillers, cooling towers, and boilers.
  • Perform refrigeration system tune-ups, including audits of cooling system operations and verification of system refrigerant charge levels.
  • Inspect and test equipment wiring, safeties, and electrical contractors.
Requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
  • Ability to communicate written documentation of all services performed.
  • Able to meet deadlines and expected execution time for assigned tasks.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Able to work independently on assigned workload.
Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of facilities maintenance and HVAC systems maintenance tasks and processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical power fundamentals and troubleshooting as pertains to HVAC equipment.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of an approved HVAC technical training program or a similar 4-year technical program.
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC service work at the Journeyman mechanic level.
Certifications and Site Requirements
  • Must have TWIC and EPA Universal license.
