Key Responsibilities

  • Process Development:
  • Define the strategic pathway for process advancement
  • Provide guidance on the design, execution, and evaluation of manufacturing processes
  • Emphasize process adaptability to support rapid and varied product transitions
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Set benchmarks for key production metrics, such as cycle time and yield, ensuring uniformity across business partners and facilities
  • Oversee global factory performance metrics, control limits, and anomalies to deliver trend insights
  • Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing process efficiency
  • Identify and address global process constraints
  • Factory Support:
  • Diagnose and resolve factory disruptions
  • Analyze global trends and proactively implement solutions across sites
  • Collaborate with factory leadership to create documented standards for tools and equipment
  • Document, escalate, and resolve issues raised by factory personnel
  • Enhance and maintain the support management system
  • New Product Introduction:
  • Collaborate with NPI Engineers to prepare factories for new product launches
  • Establish best practices for Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
  • Evaluate new technologies, customer needs, and product specifications
  • Ensure factory readiness for changes
  • Provide technical insights for Manufacturing Engineering on next-generation products
  • Factory Automation:
  • Identify automation opportunities within existing and future factory processes
  • Lead the implementation of automation solutions by defining requirements and validating design approaches
  • Establish methods and standards for programming and training automated systems
  • Prepare new products for automation integration
  • Technical Mentorship:
  • Guide the Engineering Team on industry best practices
  • Collaborate with leadership to define internal success metrics
  • Establish criteria for evaluating project value
  • Assist in determining project feasibility
  • Support engineers in articulating project justifications
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in the same fields with at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Certification as a Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Experience with factory simulation software, preferably FlexSim
  • Familiarity with assembly automation technologies
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards
  • Passion for Continuous Improvement, Lean methodologies, Kaizen, and Six Sigma practices
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge in diverse and changing scenarios
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on collaboration and adaptability
  • Analytical skills, including the ability to analyze data for meaningful insights
  • Familiarity with Data Analytics best practices and experience querying raw data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to distill complex issues for varied audiences
  • Capability to synthesize information from multiple sources into actionable plans
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
