ROLE OVERVIEW
The Evening Custodian plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment within the educational facilities. This position is responsible for ensuring that all areas are properly cleaned and sanitized, promoting a healthy atmosphere for students and staff alike.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
2. Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring all supplies are stocked.
3. Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste appropriately.
4. Maintain cleanliness in common areas, hallways, and classrooms.
5. Assist with minor maintenance tasks as needed.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff and students.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position involves working in various school environments and may require physical activity such as lifting and moving equipment. The Evening Custodian will be expected to adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
