Job Title: Trial Attorney About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Trial Attorney to join our team in Southfield, MI. As a Trial Attorney, you will be responsible for handling civil litigation and trial experience with exceptional knowledge of civil procedure, the rules of evidence, no fault, and trial strategy. Responsibilities: * Handle civil litigation and trial experience with exceptional knowledge of civil procedure, the rules of evidence, no fault, and trial strategy * Possess strong interpersonal skills, superior oral advocacy and writing skills, and the ability to manage a caseload where work is time sensitive * Work in a hybrid role, meaning that the work arrangement calls for hours in the office and virtually * Collaborate with skilled support staff to provide a congenial, team-oriented, and professional work environment Requirements: * Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from ABA accredited law school and excellent academic credentials * Active license to practice law in Michigan and be a member in good standing with the state bar * 3+ years of civil litigation experience preferably in insurance defense including experience handling No Fault/PIP, Bodily Injury, and Premises Liability litigation * Jury trial experience is a plus * Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation * Experience working in a paperless environment About Us: State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company is a Fortune 50 company that hires the best employees to serve our customers, making us a leader in the insurance and financial services industry.
