Job Summary:

ABHS is seeking a highly skilled APN/Psychiatrist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform initial psychiatric evaluations within a 60-minute period
  • Perform medication management follow-ups within 20 minutes
  • Complete documentation within 48 hours
  • Complete refer-out forms within 24 hours after seeing a patient that needs a higher level of care
  • Complete all record requests within 30 days of receipt, unless otherwise communicated to the client within 7 days
  • Log into initial psychiatric evaluations 10 minutes of scheduled appointment. In case of emergency, notify the front desk.
  • Log into medication management appointments within 5 minutes of the scheduled time. In case of emergency, contact the front desk.
  • When prescribing controlled substances, NJ PMP will be checked no less than every 90 days.
  • Attend a Clinical Team Meeting one time per week for 1 hour

Requirements:
  • Master's in Nursing and Post Master's Program in Advanced Practice Role
  • 1 year's experience as APN
  • Proper knowledge and skills in medical competencies and core competencies

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 20-50 lbs.
  • Occasional to frequent walking, sitting, standing, driving
  • Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)

Environmental Factors:
  • Communicable diseases
  • Hot/cold temperatures
  • Environmental conditions may vary

Required Licenses or Certifications:
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Narcan Certified
