Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Pump Technician to join our team at Newport Sand & Gravel Co., Inc. in the role of Heavy Equipment Operator - Concrete Pump.

Job Responsibilities
  • Pump Truck Maintenance: Conduct regular pre-trip inspections of concrete pumps, adhering to DOT regulations, to ensure the equipment's safety and efficiency.
  • Journey Management: Utilize map knowledge and area expertise to navigate the most direct routes to job sites, ensuring timely delivery and execution of projects.
  • Safe Operation: Safely drive the concrete pump into site and collaborate with contractors or homeowners to set it up in a secure position.
  • Concrete Pumping: Operate the pump to meet customer requirements regarding yards per hour while maintaining the highest level of safety.
  • Clean-up and Maintenance: Clean out pump systems after completion, following environmentally responsible practices, and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Certifications: Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, hold a valid CDL Class B Driver License, and maintain a driving record within tolerable insurability limits.
  • American Concrete Pumping Association Certification: Preference given to candidates holding this certification.
