North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide routine patient care and support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including assisting with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility.
- Effectively coordinate daily patient care activities on the nursing unit, ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients and healthcare team members.
- Assist nursing staff with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, and respond to patient call lights and requests.
- Participate in inventory control, ordering and stocking unit supplies and equipment in a cost-efficient manner.
- Facilitate unit communication, including relaying information to interdisciplinary team members and ensuring a smooth flow of information.
- Provide exceptional customer service, welcoming visitors and answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience for patients and families.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards and hospital policies.
