Sterile Processing Specialist

As a Sterile Processing Technician at St. Luke's Health System, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and clean environment for our patients and staff. This position is responsible for preparing and sterilizing medical equipment, supplies, and instruments for use in patient care areas.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cleans and disinfects equipment requiring decontamination or sterilization
• Prepares supplies and equipment for use during patient procedures
• Prepares case carts for current and next day schedule
• Decontaminates, preps, packages and sterilizes clinical/surgical supplies for patient care areas, including linens
• Ensures instruments and supplies are available as needed for patient care
• Performs rounds to retrieve instruments, equipment and supplies for reprocessing
• Maintains safe and clean work environment
• Transports carts to and from designated departments/areas
• Maintains instrument and inventory in all areas
Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent
