We are seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN to join our MedSurg unit at CHI Mercy Health Mercy Medical Center. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while providing essential care to patients.
Certification Requirements- BLS certification is mandatory.
- Oregon nursing license is required.
- The facility is prepared to assist in obtaining a 90-Day Emergency License.
- Specialty: MedSurg
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
- Core Schedule: 2-week rotation
- Scheduling: Managed by the unit manager with potential for block scheduling
- Unit Capacity: 53 beds
- Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:5 during days, 1:6 during nights
- Common Patient Conditions: Pneumonia, CHF, COPD, Sepsis, COVID-19, stroke, and overflow general surgical cases.
- Charge nurse available on each shift without assignment.
- Support staff includes nurse aides and patient care technicians.
- No additional charge for RNs to titrate drips.
- Equipment: CPAP and occasional BiPAP available.
- Telemetry reading is not required; on-site monitor technician provided.
- Dress Code: Black pants and scrub tops of choice.
- Orientation: 2 shifts for unit-specific training.
- Potential for permanent placement if a good fit.
- BLS certification is required.
- Oregon nursing license is required.
- Facility willing to assist with a 90-Day Emergency License.
- No prior experience required; first-time travelers are welcome.
- No RNs are required to titrate drips.
- Shift Type: 12-hour shifts.
- Self-scheduling options available.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
- Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday, including Thanksgiving and Christmas.
- Unit: MedSurg
