Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Wind Technicians to join our team at EDF Renewables North America. As a Wind Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on wind turbines in Dexter, Minnesota.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on wind turbines under the direction of experienced technicians.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal turbine performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with wind turbines, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to complete maintenance tasks and ensure safe working conditions.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; related experience or training preferred.
  • Ability to work at heights, including climbing and descending wind turbine towers in various weather conditions.
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and work in a mechanical environment with tools, machines, and moving parts.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a full-size pickup truck.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with wind turbines and related equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including troubleshooting and repair techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical data.
  • Experience working at heights and in a mechanical environment.
