Job Description
The CDL A Low-bed Driver w/ Hazmat Endorsement will safely transport equipment and stock supplies for daily job site requirements. This role performs pre and post trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies and ensures all safety items are in good working order. The driver will maintain a neat, clean, professional appearance for vehicle and self. Daily activities include driving, laboring, and paperwork.
- Safely and timely transport materials such as fuel and water trailers and blasting mats to and from site locations.
- Assure that all loads and materials are properly secured for transportation in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Obtain necessary permits for over width and over weight loads.
- Maintain accurate driver's E log book and vehicle inspection reports.
Requirements
Class A commercial driver's license with hazardous materials endorsement, DOT medical certification, and a clean motor vehicle driving record. Successful class A commercial driving experience, with lowboy driving experience specifically. Solid understanding of Federal DOT/State regulations as it relates to trucking and interstate commerce. Construction or hazmat industry background is a plus. High School diploma or equivalent required.
