Role Summary

Under general supervision, the CT Technologist is responsible for performing both routine and specialized imaging procedures using computed tomography technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates clinical proficiency in CT imaging across various patient demographics, ensuring the selection of appropriate technical parameters tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Applies a comprehensive understanding of CT methodologies, including anatomy, radiation safety, and patient care protocols, while adhering to all regulatory standards.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of patient interactions and imaging procedures within electronic health record systems.
  • Ensures a safe working environment by managing inventory and supplies, reporting any equipment or environmental issues as per established protocols.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree or certificate in radiologic technology from an accredited program.
  • Bachelor's degree in health sciences or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in CT imaging is preferred but not required.

Certifications and Licenses

  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiography.
  • ARRT certification in Computed Tomography is preferred.
  • Must hold a valid radiographer license in the state of Maryland.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required.
