Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Collaboration: As a Professional Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for setting the standards for patient care and leading by example. You will work collaboratively with physicians, other healthcare providers, and patients to achieve desired outcomes.
- Patient Education and Empowerment: You will provide detailed and effective teaching to patients and families to guide them through their care journey. This includes supporting the development of students, new staff, and colleagues.
- Quality Improvement and Patient Safety: You will actively participate in department-specific quality improvement efforts and identify opportunities for improvement. You will also utilize research and evidence-based practice to support clinical care.
- Communication and Teamwork: You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, articulate patient needs to other care providers, and negotiate changes in patient care and unit practices.
- Licensure and Certification: Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state where the facility is located or a state covered by a licensure compact agreement.
- Education and Experience: Minimum 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse. BSN preferred.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with executives, managers, physicians, and other staff. Critical thinking skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients.
