Dignity Health is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Mercy General Hospital. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will provide advanced practice nursing care to patients with valvular disease, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients with valvular disease, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex cardiovascular conditions.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct research and participate in clinical trials to advance the field of cardiovascular medicine.
  • Develop and lead educational programs for patients, families, and healthcare professionals on cardiovascular health and disease management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Current CA licensure as a RN
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, completion of an accredited program for nurse practitioner, and certification as a nurse practitioner.
  • Provider number (NPI) is required. Eligible to apply for furnishing and DEA license in order to prescribe medications within approved standardized procedures.
  • BLS and ACLS from the AHA (American Heart Association) required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in nursing
  • Experience as an acute care Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner.
  • Experience as a Cardiac RN in an acute care setting
